Day 01: Arrive Cochin By: International FlightCochin

Arrive to Cochin airport; upon arrival meet, assistance and there from you will be deported to the hotel. Upon arrival proceed for check-in (normal check-in time is at 1200 noon).

Kochi or more familiarly Cochin’s history is a bright tapestry - many coloured threads woven through centuries together present the fabric of the present. Its involvement with the Portuguese, the Dutch and the British are evident in the architecture of city buildings, the old durbar hall is the spice in the dish! Modern day Kochi may be a busy port and shipping centre but it has many attractions for ordinary tourists. It is spread across islands and promontories in a stunning location between the Arabian Sea and the Backwaters.

Day 02 Cochin

Morning breakfast at Hotel. Later you will enjoy local sightseeing.

Dutch Palace (Closed on Fridays and Jewish Holidays), also known as Mattancherry Palace built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Cochin in 16th Century AD. It acquired the present name in the 17th century when the Dutch carried out extensions and repairs in the palace. At no time did the Portuguese or Dutch stay here, its interiors are decorated with murals from the Ramayana and there are some lively displays of royal costumes and palanquins.
Jewish Synagogue (Closed on Fridays & Saturdays and Jewish Holidays), Built in late 16th century, the Great Scrolls of the Old Testament, the copper plates in which the grants of privilege made by the Cochin rulers were recorded and the exquisite Chinese hand-painted tiles are of interest Chinese Fishing Nets, line the sea-front and exhibit a mechanical method of catching fish by local fishermen in Fort Kochi. Said to have been brought from China by traders of Kubalai Khan's Court, they are used at high tide.

St. Francis Church, was originally built by the Portuguese in 15th century and is believed to be the oldest church built by the Europeans in India. It is here the remains of the inveterate traveller, Vasco da Gamma were initially buried and 14 years later, his mortal remains were taken to Portugal.

Watching Kerala's famous folk dance "Kathakali" around 6pm at hotel will give intense pleasure and joy.

Day 03: Cochin – Thekkady (190 Kms/5 Hrs)

After breakfast at hotel, you will be drive to Periyar. Upon arrival in Periyar proceed for check-in to your hotel.Periyar

Nestled in the mountain ranges of the Western Ghats, Periyar National Park is spread around the placid Periyar Lake. With its tranquil surroundings, this park is a safe home to a diverse range of wildlife species, some of which are severely threatened. The park features Marshy grasslands with rolling and steep hills that are also present here. The vegetation primarily comprises moist deciduous type with marshy grasslands. The adventure buffs also get a fair opportunity to fulfill their desires since the park offers a varied terrain for the jungle treks and wildlife safari. The wildlife species are the foremost tourist attractions in Periyar and they are the chief reason for the tremendous tourist interest in the region.

Day 04: Thekkady

After Breakfast, you take boat cruise at Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Afternoon enjoy the Spice Plantation tour and also enjoy elephant ride there.

Day 05: Thekkady- Alleppy (100 Kms/2.5 Hrs)Alleppy

Get transferred from Periyar to Allepey and board a traditional houseboat there. Most popular for its many boat races, houseboats, coir products and serene backwaters, Alleppey or Alappuzha is bound to steal your heart upon the tour.

Day 06: Alleppy – Kovalam (170kms/5hrs)

After breakfast, disembark from the houseboat and shall proceed for drive to Kovalam (170 Kms/5 hrs)

Bid bye to Alleppey's backwaters and say hello to the country's finest of beaches at Kovalam. The three crescent beaches forming Kovalam on the whole are enveloped in golden sand and dotted with palm trees. Just 16 km away from Thiruvananthapuram, Kovalam is any tourist's dream come true destination.

Bid bye to Kumarakom's backwaters and say hello to the country's finest of beaches at Kovalam. Day 07: Kovalam

After breakfast, excursion to Kanyakumari, the tip of peninsular India where 3 seas -Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal meet. Visit Kanyakumari Temple, Gandhi Memorial and Vivekananda Memorial. Evening visit the specctacular Sunset. Drive back to Kovalam hotel.

Spend another perfect day at Kovalam undertaking independent activities for fun or otherwise, by you!

Day 09: Kovalam – Trivandrum & Depart By: International Park

Today in the morning, on time check out from the hotel when it's the time for your flight at the Trivandrum airport for your journey back home.
